Shahrukh Khan Started Shooting For His Film Dhunki in Kashmir
The Bollywood megastar King Khan started shooting for his film Dhunki, but what is so special here is; the location. The actor is back in Kashmir after 11 years. A crew member confirmed that they will be shooting near the Thajwas glacier in Kashmir. Last time he shot in Kashmir for Yash Chopra’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
According to the sources, the actor arrived in Kashmir on Monday and stayed in a tourist resort in Sonamarg. The actor was seen filming for a romantic scene with his co-star TaapseePannu. They shot a romantic song in Sonamarg with choreographer Ganesh Acharya. A crew member confirmed that they had shot in Srinagar and Pampore as well.
The actor was seen with tight security arrangements, and also no unnecessary movement was allowed near the shooting area. The crew member added “In 2012, there was a huge rush of fans on the set which disturbed the shooting in Pahalgam. Keeping in mind, this time we blocked the road leading to our set.”
The shooting took place near the Thajwas glacier where a hut with Turkish ambience was set up for the shoot. One of the sources said that the director Raj Kumar Hirani promised the J&K lieutenant Governor that he will try his best to bring Bollywood films back to the valley, this happened in August 2021 when the J&K film policy was launched.
The actor started shooting for Dhunki in April 2022. He traveled to London and Budapest to shoot some special parts of the movie. The director has planned to shoot various places in India as well. Most parts of the shooting took place in Mumbai. In November 2022, the actor traveled to Saudi Arabia as well for the shoot. The long-awaited movie will be released in December 2023.
This film is one of the most-anticipated due to the actor and director Raj Kumar Hirani’s collaboration for the first time. The movie is co-produced by the actor’s wife Gauri Khan. Another twist-breaking fact is that the actor will be seen opposite TaapseePannu for the first time. This would be an interesting collaboration to watch for their fans.
Other upcoming projects of Shahrukh Khan
In January this year, the actor was showered with unmatched love from the audience when he released his movie Pathaan. The actor’s next projects include Jawan in which he will work with actor Nayanthara. The movie will be released in June 2023. Some other projects include the Hey Ram remake, Operation Khukhri, Rahul Dholakia, and Shmit Amin’s Next.
Another project named Salute is also on the list. But this is not a confirmed project. This movie is a biopic of former Indian Air Force pilot Rakesh Sharma. The movie is in the news for a long time now. According to the sources, actor Aamir Khan opts out of the movie and there was a buzz that Shahrukh Khan would not be a part of this movie, but writer Anjum Rajabati confirmed that there is no such thing.
