DU UG Admission 2024-25: Common Seat Allotment System Released

The Common Seat Allotment System for admission to first-year undergraduate programs for the 2024-25 session at Delhi University has been released on the university website. During CAT-1, seat allocations have been made to 97,387 candidates through various programs and colleges based on the ranks.

This year, the university has assessed more than 5600000 program-wise cutoff/ ranks only for providing 71600 sanctioned seats. Of the 2,45,917 registrations, 1,85,192 candidates entered their preferences for programs and colleges, making 17,07,952 preferences in all.

New Feature – ‘Cutoff Details’ Section on the Dashboard

This year’s major feature is the addition of a ‘Cutoff’ tab on the candidate’s profile, which contains the CUET score, cutoff, and rank for all applied programs. This will enable candidates to compare their likely prospects of getting admission to the various programs based on rank.

No separate merit list will be prepared for admitting students in any of the programs offered by the university; the common rank based on CUET scores will be taken into consideration only. Thus, although meeting the cutoff score might help a student secure a place in College, the rank, which is lower in this case, will disqualify him/her. They also achieve different ranks even if they have the same number of points because of the new tie-breaker rules this year.
