Alia Bhatt’s Met Gala Debut In A White Pearl-Beaded Gown
Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt was recently seen at the mega fashion event the Met Gala 2023. It was her debut appearance at this annual event. She was wearing a white pearl-beaded gown. The dress was made from ivory silk tulle and satin face organza exaggerated basque waist ball embroidered with 100,000 white pearls, which was designed by American designer Prabal Gurung.
The actor’s appearance in a princess-like gown made everyone impressed. The actor wrote on Twitter that her look is inspired by iconic Chanel brides (dressed by Karl Lagerfeld), and more particularly it is inspired by supermodel Claudia Schiffer’s 1992 Chanel bridal look. She added that she wanted to wear something authentic and proudly made in India.”
The actor was wearing white pearl-beaded platform heels from the ASAxSKO brand (the first Indian footwear brand to make its Met Gala debut). The beautifully designed footwear was the result of collaborated efforts of SKO (footwear brand) and Anaita Shroff Adajania (celebrity stylist). The actors’ look was accompanied by beautiful handcrafted jewelry from Malabar Gold & Diamonds.

Alia Bhatt will soon make her debut in Hollywood with the spy thriller “Heart of Stone” directed by Tom Harper. The movie stars Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan, Archie Madekwe, and Alia Bhatt. The movie is scheduled to be released in August this year. The shooting of the film is already completed and it will be available on Netflix on 11 August 2023.
Alia Bhatt made her acting debut as a child actor in the 1999 film Sangharsh. In 2012, she played a lead role in Karan Johar’s film Student of the Year. Ever since her debut in Bollywood as a lead actor, she played several complex characters, which made her an irreplaceable actor in the film industry. For example, she played a kidnapped victim in a road drama Highway for which she was awarded Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress.
Alia Bhatt won four Filmfare Awards for Best Actor for films; Udta Punjab, Raazi, Gully Boy, and Gangubai Kathiawadi. Recently the actor was seen in the blockbuster Telugu movie RRR, and Bollywood film Brahmastra. Apart from her acting career, she launched her clothing brand that focuses on sustainable clothing. She supports various charitable trusts and organizations for the betterment of society.
In coming years, the actor would be seen in Karan Johar-directed Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, the Hollywood film The Heart of Stone, Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed Baiju Bawra, Farhan Akhtar-directed Jee Le Zara, Karan Johar directed Takht, and an English fantasy movie Jilliahsmen Trinity 2.5: Passport. This year the actor is going to make her Hollywood debut with Tom Harper-directed Heart of Stone.
She has worked in several Bollywood films that include RRR, Brahmastra, Darlings, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Kalank, Gully Boy, Highway, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and Dear Zindagi. Kapoor & Sons, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, 2 States, Student of the Year, etc. She is also a trained singer and has worked as a playback singer in some of the music albums.
